The second event of the “Iran-Iraq Science Week”
The second event of the “Iran-Iraq Science Week” was held from January 18 to 20, 2025, at Al-Zahra University in the holy city of Karbala. The event aimed to expand scientific, research, and technological cooperation between Iran and Iraq.
Hossein Simayi Saraf, Iran’s Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, inaugurated the Iran-Iraq Science Week in Karbala, emphasizing that the event serves as a platform to strengthen scientific and cultural collaboration between the two nations. He praised the organizers and highlighted the potential for this initiative to lay a strong foundation for sustainable cooperation.
It was also announced that Iran is ready to offer up to 200 annual scholarships for Iraqi students.
Dr. Aliakbarian, the Director of International Science Cooperation Development, on behalf of K.N. Toosi University of Technology, signed six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs):
