    K. N. Toosi University of Technology is pleased to announce Dr. Farhad Yekeh Yazdandoost will serve as the University’s acting Chancellor.

Dr. Ali Khaki Sedigh, who had been the University’s chancellor for more than 10 years, was recently appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Educational Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT).  His successor at KNTU, Dr. Farhad Yazandoost, is one of the well-known professors of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Dr. Yazdandoost has been with K. N. Toosi University of Technology since 1991. In this capacity, he has served as the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the University’s Vice-Chancellor for Research. In addition, he has led the University’s international efforts to significantly increase its success metrics, efficiency, and international engagement as the Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs.

Dr. Yazdandoost has acted as the Director General of Iran’s Research Bureau of the Water Affairs, Ministry of Energy and the founder of Iran’s national Water Research Institute. Farhad Yazdandoost has also supervised many national research projects. His research interests include sustainable development, resilience risk management, urban drainage management, and integrated water resources management.

Prof. Ali Khaki Sedigh has rigorously transferred a series of fruitful experiences during his time at KNTU. Considering Dr. Yazdandoost’s background in international affairs, we believe he will bring a wealth of international experience as well as a dynamic style of leadership to KNTU that will benefit the University both at home and the world stage, advancing KNTU’s internationalization plan.
