Biography:

Tavakol Pakizeh was born in Iran in 1977. He received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering-telecommunication (fields and waves) from the K.N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU), Tehran, Iran, in 2006. He is an Associate Professor in electrical engineering-telecommunications at the KNTU. He was with the Nanobiophotonics Division, Department of Applied Physics, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, as a visiting Ph.D. student and Postdoctoral associate researcher from 2005-2009. His current research interests include electrodynamics of complex media, plasmonics, optical activity, nano-optics, and nanoantennas.
