K.N.Toosi University of Technology and Bukhara State University

A visit paid by the delegation of the Bukhara State University of Uzbekistan to the KNTU On Tuesday, January 19, 1402, a delegation from Bukhara State University of Uzbekistan visited K. N. Toosi University of Technology. This three-member team comprised 3 Prof. Rasoulov (Vice-Chancellor of Science and Innovation), Prof. Nazarov (Director of Chemistry Department) and Prof. Sameiov (Director of Physics Department) of Bukhara State University.

The visit started with meeting at the central administration of the KNTU at which the chancellor of the university, Prof. Shahani participated, accompanied by Prof. Aghanjafi, the International Director of the university, Prof. Taghizadeh, the Vice-Chancellor of Technology and Innovation, as well as Profs. Moghadamfar, Latifi, Mashkouri, and Sayareh. Prof. Shahani welcomed the guests, and pointed out the cultural commonalities between the two countries of Iran and Uzbekistan and expressed the interest of KNTU in the establishment of joint engineering courses, the development of relations with the industries of Uzbekistan, as well as the exchange of students in the fields of engineering and basic sciences. Then the representatives of the faculties of chemistry, physics, mathematics and geodesy and geomatics engineering introduced the activities of their faculties. In the following, the guests also presented the activities and facilities of Bukhara university, followed by signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities.

Afterwards, the delegation of Bukhara State University visited the Basic Science Campus of the KNTU, where they were welcomed and accompanied by Profs. Belalaei, Hamzapour, Raiati, Rezaei and Afzalzadeh. The guests visited the facilities and laboratories of the campus, including the Peptide Chemistry Laboratory, the Nanophysics Laboratory, the Central Physics Laboratory and the Lamination and Ultrasound Laboratory, in which they were informed about the research activities carried out in them. This visit ended at 2:00 pm after the lunch.

It is expected that this visit will bring up significant mutual outcomes, including an agreement regarding the joint supervision of students, receiving technical supervision services for the purchase of laboratory equipment from Iran, an agreement regarding the financing of mutual visits, the possibility of membership of Bukhara University professors in the editorial boards of the scientific research journals of the KNTU, as well as the exchange of students and professors. Finally, it was decided that the parties should present a list of their needs including disciplines and specialties to the other party, in order to provide a roadmap for the required services in the future.
