Faculty of  Computer  Engineering of K.N.Toosi University of Technology and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT) holds a joint  Webinar. The ” Recent Advances in Covering Problems” webinar will be presented by Dr. Farnaz Sheikhi from Computer  Engineering faculty of K.N.T.U. on February 1, 2023. IN this webinar Inspired by the facility location applications, covering problems have received considerable attention for the past . Modelling these problems in a geometric setting, a set of demand points is given, and the goal is to specify the proper locations of facilities satisfying some predefined constraints about the type and area of service. In this talk, an overview of the recent proposed algorithms in this field, and the future directions for further research are presented.
