The faculty of Geodesy Engineering of K.N.Toosi University of Technology holds the ” At the Interface of Silviculture, Remote Sensing and Forest Development: Ideas for Integrated Research ” international workshop on June 8, 2021 .
The workshop speakers are from University of Regensburg, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Technische Universität München from Germany and University of Tehran, University of Kurdistan, Research Institute of Forests and Rangelands, Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization,Razi University of Kermanshah and K.N. Toosi University of Technology from Iran.
The following topics will be discussed in this international workshop:
Assessing forest structures with terrestrial LiDAR as decision support tool for forest management, Ecological Data Science, Influence of cast shadows on the satellite-observed vegetation signal in open forests, Mapping fractional woody cover in different spatial grains with Google Earth Engine, Scope of oak cluster planting in forest restoration, New approaches for estimating forest structure attributes using multi-angle remote sensing, Forest structural and functional assessment – an empirical approach, Leaf area index estimation in the northern Zagros forests using remote sensing, The national Zagros forests monitoring of Iran, Describing oak decline by integrating UAV- and space-borne data, Zagros-related tasks of non-Hyrcanian Beauro of the FRWO and MODIS time series data based model for predicting the changes in fire regimes in the Zagros forests.
