The K. N. Toosi University of Technology is one of Iran's largest research-intensive universities, and its Research Affairs and Industrial Relations Office (RAIRO) is responsible for transferring university-derived knowledge, technology & innovation to the commercial sector, for the benefit of all society. The RAIRO - a unit within the Office of the Vice- President (Research) - provides the vital conduit between university researchers and the external community of industry, government & other organizations.
Our mission is to assist faculty and members in all aspects of externally funded research projects and other scholarly activities — from the identification of a potential sponsor and the preparation of a proposal, through various administrative problems (related to budgets, personnel, space, sub-contracts, reporting and accountability, patents, negotiations with the sponsor) during the course of the project, to the submission of the documents required to close out the project.
RAIRO maintains an office responsible for sponsored relations between the University and Industry. Research and other sponsored activities are monitored by RAIRO which provides proposal development and grant administrative services to faculty and staff seeking support from industries or organizations. RAIRO serves as a point of contact for any industrial organizations and agencies wishing access the various services available through the University.
We help bring new ideas to the marketplace. We help protect intellectual property at the K. N. Toosi University of Technology. Successful technology transfer helps fuel future research, teaching and community service.
